Mysterious screws

Only had the Bongo for a week, so gradually finding out stuff about the beast. Whilst hoovering the carpets in the back, I came across 6 screws (3 pairs of 2) located infront of the first rear bench seat and they are captivated into the carpet. Could someone tell me their use as I'm just wondering what was attached to them, as they appear to be an original part of the carpet and not something that has been added. If it helps, they are attached to the main carpet and not the stud-on carpets on top.

Very likely a CD changer fitted to the floor. These rarely surive in a functional state and leave a set of screw holes or bolts in the floor.

The changer would be bolted down through the carpet, probably as oriiginal kit.

Welcome to the club. Every Bongo has its own little quirks, as no two seem to be exacly the same spec. It can take to work out what bits are one, especialy all the bits added by gadget mad Japanese.

Thanks for the reply Yes, it wouldn't surprise me if they were to hold some gadget like that... certainly something I wouldn't want to replace, if it was for a cd changer, as I have a cd player in the radio. I was hoping they were for something more functional.

I expect I'll be up all night trying to think of a use for them

i pulled a load of old cables and bracketry out from behind the centre consol and pillar trims.presumably for dvd or amp of some sort.all put in the best place.....the bin!
