dim rear light

the light in the rear of the van as just started being dim, i'm running to batteries with a split charger system all the stero, mirrors and blinds plus the lights run off the secound battery, the stero blinds and fronts all seem ok but the rear is very dim. can anyone spring some light on this for me.

Firstly check your bulb in the rear light, they quite often go dim with age (bit like me) Then make sure all contacts are clean as this could be causing a voltage drop. Just replace the bulb with a new one, that is the easiest and cheapest test.
