Engine won't switch off!!!!
Friends have just contacted me and their Bongo won't stop after the ignition is switched off. The engine just keeps on running.
They have called out the RAC but has anyone had this problem?

Sounds like fuel cut-off solenoid has failed.

Re: Engine won't switch off!!!!
yes its been done before, its the cut off selonoid thats fubar, if its a manual then stall it, if its auto, then you have to starve the engine of fuel. ie disconect the fuel line

Have they recently got it Tim?
Could be they have one with a turbo timer . . . .

Hi MM
No they've owned it for quite a while. Valuable point though if a turbo timer is fitted.
Thanks

Just in case it ever happens to me (or anyone else) can you tell us where the solenoid is located (or post a pic)?
