fuel filter on 95 freda

ive been looking at bleeding air from my 95 freda and the filter housing has no pump mechanism on top of it how do i pump the air that i hope is present out in this case? there is basically a flat metal cap on top of the filter housing. :?:

Miy filters the same afaik, and I amungst others have just filled the filter with injection cleaner when replacing, so there little to no air in the system to begin with.

Just as Brora has said just fill the filter with injector cleaning fluid.
Lost without my Bongo.

You don't even need to fill the new filter with injector cleaner or diesel -- the system bleeds itself. At most the engine will stumble a little after starting with air in the filter. It's a much nicer system than my 1982 VW T2 1.6 diesel had, for which the owner's manual stated that a special tool was required to bleed air out of the fuel system after the system had been opened.
