Double DIN fascia help required

Post by Juninho » Tue Jul 14, 2009 11:18 pm

Hi,
I have recently purchased a 2000 (W) reg Bongo and am looking to replace the standard double DIN stereo with a single DIN. I have got the wiring sussed but need help sourcing a fascia which will appropriate for this. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am also without a Bongo user manual so any help with this would also be gratefully recieved. :)

I think I'm right but a standard cubby box will fill the gap or a bmw clock unit.

Have a look here on Haydn's site

http://www.coolantalarm.co.uk/index.php ... t&catId=13

Also availble on ebay, scrapyards etc but these are in good fettle from a reliable source

And schematics are here: http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... tr.html#11

Hi Juninho,

I have a standard cubby hole sitting in the shed, you are welcome to it, I also have the leads to swap the bongo radio wiring to the standard connection, if either is of any use to you, I am not a million miles away, (Junction 47 M4) or can post them if you Pm me your address.

Thanks for your quick responses guys and generous offer (Welsh winger).

I think i'll give the BMW clock unit a go as at the moment I'm still scanning the dash for the time all the time! I'll no doubt have a few more queries when i come to fit it.

Thanks again.
