what decent low to mid range tyres recomendations

Post by Bongo.Baz.tard » Mon Jul 06, 2009 10:04 pm

I was lookin to buy to buy the 195 fronts recomended in the fact sheet nexens.
But the only ones that anyone on here recomended that i can get supply and fit are barum cargos £40 supply and fit.
they dont look much like the barum vanis more like truck tyres.
Anyone tried these .
Im not lookin for racin slicks but something to last ,that is dependable in summer and winter.

ANY RECOMENDATIONS APPRECIATED

I have Barum Vanis tyres, similar to Conti Vanco and made in the same factory too..... good tyre IMHO, was great in the snow and ice we had last winter, handles fine too....

I use 215's all round and have done since I bought the bongo, many moons ago, I was using Nangkangs but have now switched to Accelera's they are 100v rated which is more than enough for the bongo and are a damn good tyre, down here they are £35.00 fitted complete and can recommend them, I know others are using them as well.

Hi folks, Iam running Accellera tyres on the rears of my 4x4 Freda, they are 215/6515"s, would it be ok to run this size tyre on the fronts, i"ve read that some of you are, but just wondered about the 4x4 variants.

thanks.

No problem at all :D . In fact, it's more important on the 4WD - you can fit what you like on the 2WD, as long as each axle is matched.

Thanks for the replies .got a chance of a couple of ''do for the mot bridgestones''
BUT NOW I NEED A MID SECTION AND BACKBOX AND TWO DROPLINKS AND A REAR DIF SEAL.
Quoted £100 labour for all the work but im know lookin to do the DIY flexi pipe exhaust thingy, maybe, depending on price for flexi pipe etc.
Will be reading up on the droplinks and dif seal or i might just spoil myself and let someone else clamber about underneath.
