Hi all...just read about a 'mason alarm'...when I bought my freda last month the guy said dont worry about the temp needle running over halfway as it has a mod fitted and this is normal.....is this something to do with this Mason alarm cos im sure it has a sticker with this on on the dash somewhere.
any advice appreciated,

Re: Temp needle
Good stuff...I just read some more about these alarms. How do you set them and what do you do if they go off..Its obviously to alert you to an overheating problem.

Re: Temp needle
There should be a little black box about the size of a matchbox with wires going to your dial, on the box is a small dial with numbers , a lot of bongoers set theirs according to their driving conditions but around 4,5 or 5 is the norm.
Lost without my Bongo.

You mean you can get Mason Alarm stickers?
Re: Temp needle
It should also make a quick pip noise when the dash warning lights come on on start up. (glow plug warming if diesel.) It's just to let you know it's working!
& if you have work done by a mechanic..? let em know about the Mason and the "normal" temp dial position... It will save em alot of worry!!

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...
