hi all,
i can`t believe it but i thought the kids were still off school on the friday,so i booked the day off thinking that if we do come to mablethorpe,we could could come friday morning, but as they`re back at school on the wednesday,i haven`t a clue what we`ll do now.we were going to sit down tonight and work out if we could come, but the realization that the kids are at school on the friday has thrown a spanner in the works.i guess the options now are:
don`t come :(
or
come on saturday early :)
or
come straight after school on friday, :D and get there at around 7pm,maybe a bit earlier.it was dark when we got there at the march mablethorpe meet, and it made things a little stressful on arrival.does anyone have any idea what time it`ll get dark in early september?8 o`clock?half past?if so,that`s not too bad.
who`s booked in so far?
catch you later

Hi Jamie, Sharon,

Oh what a shame! :( I don't think it gets dark as early as March, but we have lights anyway. Hope you can get it sorted OK.
Let us know what you're doing anyway . Fingers crossed you make Friday :)

You could consider requesting the day off for the kids and go anyway. I have only done it once for a long weekend but it was worth it - and it was for Mablethorpe too =D>

I have to say that I am not one to take minimc out for holidays but it was a Friday and Monday and he wasn't exactly going to get left behind given how far ahead he is int he first place! I did get my comeupannce though - they decided to take the photographs for the school calender that day so he isn't in it - mind you, neither is his friend as she and her family came away with us. He doesn't seem to be too bothered because he knows why he wasn't there on photo day.

shame I had to miss Silverstone, but I had to make a decision and as it was warm, the radiator was weeping coolant, a new one was needed.......better to have missed the event/meet then a busted engine.....

The new radiator is in, new coolant after a flush and she is running cooler, slightly higher tickover and seems more lively.......now getting ready for our 2 week jaunt from the 18th July.....

then back for 10 days and a long weekend away and then 3 weeks later is Mablethorpe........ we are so busy traveling since we got the Bongo....
