K & N filters

Post by gazza » Wed Jun 24, 2009 11:10 am

Has anybody upgraded their 2.5 TD Bongo air filter to a K & N filter?
If so could you tell me which model number you went for?

Have you noticed any improvement in performance & or economy?

Thanks

Hi
Lots of members have fitted them...I got mine from e-bay seller 6112tina...good service...they couldn't send outside UK, so a fellow member posted it to me..good price, BTW....and no affiliation
Cheers

you want code E-9280.
Got mine from ebay also, not sure who, but generally full stock.

There may be varying opinions about fitting 3rd party air filters, but i certainly noticed a vast improvement in acceleration, shifting etc. I don't pay any attention to MPG, so i can't comment on that. Many people believe so tho!
There's plenty on here about them, but I struggled using the search function ('k' and 'n' were too common so returned no results!). Try searching that code

Fitted one to mine, as well as quite a few other people including Bigdaddycain, felt like an improvement in smiles per mile, but difficult to say about MPG

I got mine off Ebay and it certainly pulls better now. Couldn't comment on mpg as I started on veg oil at the same time.

Ordered from e-bay.Item number 290282567806. Arrived in 2 days. Fitted in 2 minutes (not including lifting seat etc) I really do think it has made a difference. The engine feels smoother. I have used K & N filters on various cars in the past and they have always made a difference =D>

Let me know how you get on.
Be interested to see if you get a performance and/or mpg improvement.
