Post by peanutcrusher » Sun Jul 05, 2009 6:15 am

just to the left hand side on the centre console just below the radio there is a couple of little slots they look like a little vent, when i looking behind the dash etc i noticed there are wire running to something plugged in behind this vent thing any idea what it is and what it does. if needed i can post a pic.

If its what i'm thinking its the aircon vent that measures the temp inside van.
Failing that its the intercom speaker to 'Bongo control'.

from the handbook :

interior temprature sensor

and on top of dash o/s near the screen:

Sunlight sensor

Do not place objects on top of the sensor as this may cause the actual temprature of the vehicle interior to differ fromthe set temprature.
Be nice to everyone they might be nice back.

ive never noticed a difference when you put the a/c down to 18' it always blows that but it does adjust itself if you set it anywhere above that, the fan speed automatically slows down or speeds up, dont know what the sunlight sensor would do, what if you put the aircon on at nighttime as its warm.

Sunlight sensor???? Better disconect that and fit a precipitation sensor here in Wales...... would make the climate control match the climate we have here better!! LOL.
