Bleedin 'ell !

Ok,so the 'Radweld' idea went out the window.
Managed to get hold of an almost new Mazda one out of a scrap van (was just fitted so good as new).
My mate the Bongo 'man' at his garage then bled the system,CHRIST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd have shat meself doing that

I watched on panic stricken as the temp/revs went up,but, all worked out in the end,in went
the new thermostat and felt a sigh of relief as she started to cool.

Now for a new water pump/cam belt/rocker gasket and 'ole Gert'll feel a lot happier

My wallet needs to cool now #-o

I changed my own coolant and was amazed at how mucxh air came out and how hot it needed to get to bleed properly

The scariest automotive moment of my life ! lol.
Took three bleed attempts, mate was convinced i'd cooked
the head, the thermostat saved the day.

My coolant system resembled an Italian coffee machine
