i dont know if it is just me but does anyone else get a rattleing sound when slowing to go round a corner??? i looked on allans of plymouth website and it does mention something about it as being normal is this right??? #-o #-o

Normal? No. Can you determine where abouts it is coming from?

Allans website is describing the 'normal' noise of the steering pump, which many owners hear when the engine is first started:
Rattling noise on tickover: This noise can occur when the engine is first started and the Bongo is stationary. With the wheels in the 'straight ahead' position, the steering pump is in 'idle' and its gears will chatter. This is generally nothing to worry about. To check if this is the normal noise, the noise will go when the steering wheel is turned slightly, or when the engines is revved above 300revs.

If the pump chatter becomes louder than the engine, change the steering pump. Until then, it doesn’t appear to be a problem and they can go on almost forever with the chatter. I've heard it on a great many Bongos and Fredas, which are still going strong and have done 100's of 1000's of kms (my own included).
