I jet washed my Bongo today and after about six hours I noticed a small pool of water had dripped from the drivers side of the vehicle, I investigated underneath to see where this liquid had come from, I saw that in the area of the sill approximately 4 inches back from the drivers door I saw a tiny hole around this area it was damp I wiped it and within a minute it was slightly damp again I have no idea where this small drip is coming from I did find a small black pipe that appears from the drivers side engine bay and leads through the side of the vehicle (I am not at all technically minded) but I guessed this was not the water pipe that leads to the rear screen as I believe this feeds through the passenger side. I am unsure if this small hole should be there it does appear fairly square but it is really annoying me that I can't find where this water is coming from.
I did check the overflow in by the petrol cap and it was not this.
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks

Re: Small water leak.
Ref my above post I have been pokeing around under my van for a few hours I saw that there are what I would describe as a number of rubber gromets along the sill tracking along the sill I noticed a small piece of tape it appears when the sills were treated with protector they forgot to replace the gromet this could be the where my small drip is coming from, my question now is why are there gromets along the sills what purpose do they serve and as I have possibly had some water getting in should I reomve these gromets on a sunny day and let the air circulate before replacing including the one that is missing.
Thanks again

Re: Small water leak.
Were you running the rear aircon at the time?

I did wonder about the rear air con I am not sure if it was on the kids sit near the control, is there a seperate air con unit and where does the liquid exit the vehicle.

Hi,
Do you have any pictures, that may well help people advise.
I had a problem on mine where the rear heater matrix/pipework leaked. Luckily it was parked up at the time so no overheating.
Anyway for me the best solution was to just bridge the connections and effectively isolate the rear heater matrix.
Not sure if this applies to your leak but a thought.
Have you felt/smelt the water, is it coolant or just plain water? If you suspect plain water you could wash the car with something that had a slight smell to it (not washing up liquid as it contains harsh stuff that's bad for the paint). Just a thought to isolate what type of water you are getting.

Re: Small water leak.
Do you have a Tin top or AFT..? Could be a drain pipe for the guttering on the sun roof if a tintop?
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

I am not technically minded at all where is this rear heater matrix and what does it do (sorry to sound stupid) the vehicle has been parked up all day there appears to be no more water on the ground, I think water got in the sill (during me washing it) but I am unsure if this small hole where the water was coming from should be there if I got a photo would you be able to have a look and see what you think.

Yes below and behind the drivers seat, not yet seen any condensation flow from the rear A/C on ours but it only tends to get used for short periods normally before stopping to cool the back down on hot days. The Duke wrote:I did wonder about the rear air con I am not sure if it was on the kids sit near the control, is there a seperate air con unit and where does the liquid exit the vehicle.
