Things always get better after they are worse
So it's good to make things worse as soon as possible!

I've got a caravan store on my AFT,and as Mike mentioned, mine is fixed on to the Bongo with an aluminium 'C' channel

which is screwed onto the bodywork, just under the AFT and it rests on the gutter......This way,it can stay on the Bongo

at all times without interfering with the roof or opening windows. It's been on the Bongo now for 2 years with no ill

effect :D :D :D You can use this method on the Tintop as well as the AFT.

Here are a few pics, just taken.

Using Crazy uncle gray and his great idea of alloy angle and awning rail, I hope that I am right in this, thanks uncle :)

Crazys and lizards is great if you've got the skills or contacts to do it. I really like M 80NGDs idea and would love to see pics. I'm always scared about / reluctant to drill bodywork (so irreversible :? ) but it sounds like it's a reasonable idea if done underneath the AFT (any sealant needed to ensure rain doesn't get in when roof raised)? On a tintop, the channel will be permanently exposed so you'd need not to mind that plus be extra sure there was no water ingress through the screw holes as it would be permanently exposed to weather. V. good idea though (and cheap as it gets) 8)

PS - just realised it wouldn't work for me though as my awning is way longer than the area under the AFT
