rear light lens removal

Post by ukroy » Fri Jun 12, 2009 1:20 pm

Hi all
The brake light has gone on my bongo, I just came to change the bulb but after removing the 2 screws behing the tailgate I still cant remove the lens to get at the bulb. It seems like there is a clip somewhere, but where?

Thanks

Once screws are undone, it is held in place by two keyhole type slot / lugs. From memory, you need to gently thump the unit outwards (i.e. for the offside that would mean to the right as viewed from the back so the locating lugs reach the end of the locating slots and the unit will then release).

You have to slide the unit as a whole to the side before it comes free, it doesn't pull out to the rear until you have moved it either to O/S or N/S depending on which one your doing.
