Oil dipstick info please

Hi,
Does anyone know the volume of oil thats represented between low and full on the engine dipstick.

For a 2.5 diesel engine:

I know that the FULL mark is exactly 6.2 litres, I would guess that the
LOW mark is about 0.75 litres less than the FULLL mark but I don't
know for sure.

..or 6.9 litres including the oil filter capacity (I think, but check). So if changing the oil filter, make sure you run the engine after filling up with new oil, then remeasure the level, as it will drop.

Thanks both, I wanted to know so that when it comes to topping up I have some idea how much to use.
