Which, isn't quite the same as making the system itself more robust.

It's been tried, unsuccessfully, by several people in the past - including moving the thermostat to the top hose.

Anybody expert enough to volunteer ?

Not particularly effective in taking the debate forwards either way was it.

Part one was fact - what's the problem?
Part two was a suggestion (with a bit of humour, hence the emoticon ) Others have failed to improve the system, so why not have a go yourself?

All my posts on this thread have been constructive (with the exception of the last reply to Kirsty) so why are you being so argumentative?

Don't fancy trying it myself thankyou.
Particulary as it has apparently been tried before and failed.
Why should that be considered a decent recommendation ?
