roof beeping

Please help, my lovely Bongo is beeping and flashing at me!
Last month we put a small dinghy on the roof bars and went sailing. Now we can't stop the roof beeper and the warning light is also flashing. When we put the roof up it also fails to engage in the locked position. Does any one have any advice? Any help much apprieciated.

There are a few microswitches along the roof slider rails, and if one of these has failed, then you will get the symptoms you describe. (The swithes are only a couple of quid)

I'll have a look to see if I can dig up their locations, and PM you.

Oh thank you. We had a look and one of the rubber seals seems to have come away over one of these contacts, would that be the cause? Look forward to your reply re: where to get a new one and what they're called!
