Creaks & Rattles

Post by wishmaster » Sat May 23, 2009 3:20 pm

Hi all, might sound daft but i've got a creaking and rattling sound coming from either the drivers door or the panel between the drivers door and the side window :? Its only noticable when the road is uneven or going over a bump. I've had a look under the panels but cant seem to spot anything, anyone had similar noises as its starting to get on my wick, would be grateful for any advice [-o< Thanks
I have a plan and its as HOT as my pants

Hi,during the hot spell we had recently i noticed this problem more, but now its cooler and wet i cant hear these creaks so much at all :) , i wonder if its the plastic expanding and prehaps the panels moving against each other :? ,still got the odd rattle but 'hey' small price to pay compared to the driving experience :D

Hi,

I had something similar. In my case I fixed it by putting that white silicon grease on the door locking mechanism.

Hi,

Halfords do it, it's the 3 in 1 professional white silicon grease in a spray can. Put it into the locking mechanism in the door, not on the catch on the pillar or you'll get it over yourself....
