hi all, i'm going to have to put a new battery on my bongo..
anyone know what amps i should be getting

Assuming its diesel or V6 (or anyway), go for a big one. 95Ah or more. I'm sure the extra cost will be recovered in extended service life and I also suspect some glowplug related starting problems could be linked to a lack of cranking amps in the less powerful batteries if/when they get tired. It gives extra insurance too against battery drain if you run devices from it when parked up (not recommended as a habit though!)
