Not CDO? It's similar, but the letters look better in alphabetical order!BongoMTBer wrote:

Fixerised
I tried moving the set point lower and all that acheived was when the split relay kicked in the LB just drew even more current which made the whole situation worse!
Anyway, I have fitted a new alternator and everything is back to normal. Hurragh!

Goodo - I looked up that stuff yesterday evening and was about to scan it for emailing to you. But to be honest, its just common sense and a multimeter....as you've discovered. Adjust the pot. voltage threshold so it clicks on reliably when alternator in action and clicks off reliably when it is not.BongoMTBer wrote:Fixerised![]()

Re: Split Charge Relay Clicking in and Out
My alternator died not long after the same thing started happening.
I had taken it down to the alternator guy, when it started playing up, he checked it out, reckoned it was ok, so I got onto Willinton, who very kindly set up a split charge with a lower charging range & swapped them, seemed ok for a while, the alternator packed up about 2 weeks after
luckily, still within warrantee by a few days
I don't know if the fact that the solenoid that brings the revs up when the ac kicks in wasn't working had a bearing on it too.
Worryingly, I did notice it clicking away the other day when I started up, but then the leisure battery has been working hard the last few weeks
