Do you mean the winter pack with the switch to the lower right of the steering wheel?

I looked at removing mine, it's on the list of jobs to do.

There's the control bits under the passenger seat to remove, and, I believe, a vacuum pipe to seal up.

If the valve in the exhaust is open (ie not restricting the exhaust), you can, I believe, just leave the section of pipe alone. If the valve has stuck shut (lumpy/poor performance and bad fuel economy?), then the section can be replaced with a section from a non winter pack Bongo (new readily available)

I'm fitting an Eberspacher heater under the pass seat, so need the space the control bits take up.

(I believe someone has just disconnected the socket from the back of the switch, to avoid accidental operation / valve jamming open.

this is what i am talking about
And that's what stilldesperate is talking about 8) - it's not a heater, just a valve to block the exhaust and heat the engine quicker. You don't need it in the UK :D

=D> Nice one, just checked my "valve" took the cover off and found it half open/closed, so have banged it open and disconnected the pipe. i wont put a new pipe on though till this one rots through or drops off ! switch in cab disconnected too.
