My sliding door won't open

Post by Ebat » Tue Jun 02, 2009 10:35 pm

First time on the Bongo Forum! Can anyone help? This morning when I closed the sliding door (the auto closing type) it made some odd noises and now will not open at all. Obviously I've tried locking and unlocking but no joy. Any ideas?

ok there is a fact sheet on this but here goes

I take it its both outside and inside not working which means the mechanism has got jammed mid way though its cycle

some have disconnected the battery and reconnected it after a short time which has released it or

try a technical thump on the door exact location unknown so try around the door this can dislodge the jam the next step is to remove the door pannel from the inside

this is a messy job as there is a black goo holding the plastic sheet to the door under the pannel but once prised out of the way you can find the switch and knock it with a stick or grab the cable/wire /bar/thing and pull it to release the door

Try the thump and battery first
