Possible to Adjust Sliding Door

Post by apole » Mon Jun 01, 2009 8:48 am

Hi there,

I've noticed the sliding door on mine appears to be out slightly. What I mean by this is that when it closes itself it could really do with pulling iteself in just a fraction more.

Is it possible to somehow adjust how much it closes and pulls the door in?

Thanks.

Hi
First thing I'd do is to see if you've got a severe case of fluff   ...or something a bit more solid trapped in the bottom of the lower runner, stopping the door closing....maybe a bit of old rag or something blown in there....I say this, as I remember clearing a huge amount of greasy nasty stuff out of the rails on my Type 2, so I always check the Bongo runners. If it's not that, check that the loop that the door latches on is secure...if the bolts have loosened, the thing just might have need of a bit of adjusting...or the mechanism of the lock may be loose...it looks like 4 bolts holding it.
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
