My vehicle has developed an intermittent squeak coming from the passenger side.
It all started in the wet weather with a bit of a squeak and a clunking sound. Now the clunking has subsided but when the squeak now appears it is longer and noisier.
Have you got any ideas about what it might be? I'm reluctant to take it to a garage, if they are going to charge loads for something that might be minor.
It hasn't been above 50mph in the last 2 weeks.
Happy to give any further information that might be useful.
It started as a clunk clunk now more of a squeak squeak

Could be worn bushes in the wishbone or anti-roll bar bushes. Squirting silicon lubricant into the bushes may alleviate the problem for a while. The ARB bushes are the most common culprit and easy enough to replace.

Recently, the u-bracket securing one of my anti-roll bar bushes sheared. The result was a metallic squeak (and some clunk) when I turned right. Check around ARB bushes, clamps etc. Worn bushes and droplinks are a common thing on ageing Bongos

Very interesting. Mine used to creak over the first bumps of the morning then go quiet. After a period of that, the first signs of clunking appeard. Shortly after that I changed (front) droplinks and ARB bushes. All has been quiet since.ronhud wrote:Mine has a creaking noise sometimes.
