There'll be someone near you listed in the members area, but sure someone will suggest one soon.

As for cambelt, I thought 60,000 miles was recommended for them, guessing you have no record of if it's been done already?

I'm doing mine (52000 miles) for peace of mind, tho i've not heard of belts letting-go on the forum (....ducks while waiting for horror stories to appear!)

Sure Missfixit will be along to correct me soon! :D

I'll second that SD.

The official interval for cambelt change is 100,000km (62,137.119224 miles, for those with an attention to detail  )

Some of the more esteemed long termers on here have said before that cambelt failure hasn't come up so far, so possibly not a priority worry at the moment.

Despite that, the age of original parts must be taken into consideration, even when low mileage, time takes its toll on unused bits & pieces too.

Prioritise accordingly but a rule of thumb for most similar engineered parts would be every five years whatever the mileage.

Its just one less thing to worry about if dealt with in time.

Good point. I've just had the cambelt changed on my CAR and it was splitting, so was changed just in time, even though the recommended mileage hadn't been reached.
Allans Garage retired. Try PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services Plymouth
