Great drive home on the Avoid Motorways satnav option, a fitting end to a cracking weekend. Wanted to nip in first though with a HUGE well done to Di & Jamie for putting together a legendary meet at a award winning site.
Still not sure if I'm aching from sleeping in the Bongo or laughing so much! No camera this weekend so no pics from me I'm afraid but looking forward to seeing some stunners from the likes of Muz, Snowkiter, Ady & Mike.

What a fantastic weekend - don't be fooled by the weather forecast, it was a stunner. The Lakes at their best (they don't 'do' heatwaves).
Big big big thanks to Di and Jamie for putting this one together - I'll remember it for a very long time esp. the walk on Saturday, the barbie by Windermere on Sat. evening, the great company, and And and Dens impeccable choice of music to play loudly while they barbied.
I'll post some pics and more chat once unloaded and refreshed. I tell ya, you get more bangs per buck with a Bongo than a B&B in Padiddlyboing, Idaho

Well that was the most enjoyable weekend I’ve had for yonks, and Muzette had the time of her life. Many thanks to Di & Jamie for their efforts in organising, that lakeside barbie was absolutely brilliant. Here’s to the next one at this fantastically appointed site.

The ducks were fairly tame, especially when tempted with some breakfast

No bother about the rain

If you go down to the woods today......

I can feel an Otis Redding song coming on here

Some strange things being barbecued – Black pudding?

Just needs a Rambo-knife for the full Ursula Andress look

Fantastic weekend.
Thanks to Di and Jamie for organising.
Thanks to Dandy Girl and family for the loan of the boats. (and my mate Sam for loaning his - if he ever gets it back!)
Thanks to all the attendees on the hastily orgainsed four seasons walk. We definitely weren't lost in the woods at any point I always knew where we were at all times
honest!
and everyone else for being there.
Hope the news from Mike (Dreamwarriors) Mason Alarm wasn't too critical and they are on the way home.
The alarm started going before they had left the park

What a fantastic weekend. I have to thank each and everyone of you for making this into such a great meet - its all you lovely people that make me want to get out and do this on a weekend. We all contribute in making every meet a success. Friday nights jacobs join was great but the BBQ on the lake shore in the bright sunshine on saturday will take some beating.
Cheers to Dandy Girl for letting everyone use your boats. Much appreciated. All the kids (big and little) had a great time in the water. I will have a go one day....
Cheers also to Harry for kindly bringing the marquee.
The site have said we are welcome back anytime
This time next year then?
I'll post some pics later/tomorrow when I've got more time.
