There is no grass on or near any of the pitches. This was us on Sunday.

Ours friends stuck an awning up but trashed their regular pegs so gave up and borrowed our rock pegs and they went in well. :D
The plus side of a complete hardstanding pitch is NO MUD =D> After all, this is the lakes where it rains - a lot. Hence the lakes

Thank you all for the cheques. I've had a lovely shopping trip thanks and have now left the country.

Seriously though - thank you for sending them. I've got them all but one. You know who you are   .
We were thinking of having the usual Jacobs Join on the friday night if that suits and on saturday late afternoon/ early evening - a barbie by the lake. Bring your own food and we'll throw it on the barbie. Our barbie's not massive so if a few more folk brought theirs, that would help. Or if somebody has a big one (barbie that is  ) we could use, that would be even better.
What do you think? We don't mind what anybody does. Join in or not. No pressure. We might need a plan B if it rains but we don't normally let the rain stop us? (Think Silverdale) The marquee will be near the lake so we have somewhere to sit although there is major swan/duck poo in the planned marquee area

Tell me your thoughts

All sounds good to me. I've never done the Jacobs Join - how does that work?

Not sure what to do about the marquee location problem - sticky one

I have a chimenea if you want to borrow it,its permanently on site,if a few people bring a couple of bags of logs/offcuts it would help.It always makes a good focal point on an evening sat around the fire,as the evening cools it extends your drinking time too !!

Not far,but too far to be leaving a little un' unattended,i would recommend any evening entertainment would be better enjoyed on the touring pitch around your pitch areas.Near the toilet block, lights etc :)
