You can get lucky and it be an easy fit. Mine was (I bought a nice Sony unit off ebay for about £45). You need flat metal pieces for slipping down the sides of the old unit to depress the lock catches and then pull it out and that may require a bit of a knack and some patience. You then have to hope the connector on your new head plugs straight in to the connector in the Bongo. Mine did, but if it doesnt there is an adapter piece you can buy. Someone on here who is more clued up than me will no doubt be along to advise but places like Halfords will fit units for a reasonable charge (especially if bought from them - better ask if they will fit ones you haven't bought from them and at what charge). I agree about teh CD changers. They seemed a really cool thing not many years ago - now they seem like a waste of space and just trouble, what with mp3 players etc. When I was looking to buy, I remember a couple of Bongo sellers trying to convince me that theirs having one was a bonus. I just saw it as something that got in the way of useful camping gear storage space and would probably get kicked and damaged. Hey ho. 8)

PS - I see peanutcrusher (who understands this stuff) has offered to help =D>

I tried one of those plug in cassette things and was not impressed. Took it back. I believe the ones that tune into a radio station on the head unit work better though still not perfect.

If you can't work out how to fit your new radio, bring it to Aylesbury and I'll fit it for you

Now there's an offer you can't refuse. I lovely drive through the Chilterns to Aylesbury and an even lovelier one on the way back with a new head unit fitted. stringman is a star (but I can't remember what beer he drinks) =D>
