central locking probs

mine has been working fine all week (its been dry in glasgow ) till last nite and hasnt worked the times i tried today, so i will have to be getting my hands dirty this weekend i think

can any one tell me were the relay goes so i can try this as well

fixed the problem with the central locking last night the wires between the door and the chasis had snapped and a fair few others were on the way out to so took the opurtunity to replace them when i had all the stuff at hand.

You make it sound like a walk in the park. But that wiring loom looks a nightmare to splice and solder new bits into and include insulation without making it too bulky. How did you go about the job as it might be helpful to peeps like me should we face a similar situation.

Basically I stripped the conduit and exposed the wires the conduit was pretty tatty so I am trying to source a new bit to go back over.

To join the wires i borrowed (stole) heat shrink connectors from a mate who tinkers with his landrover constantly, this was probaly easier than soldering as you can use a small heat gun thing. I borrowed this to so not sure the exact name LOL.

At the moment i have just put good electrical tape till i can get out to get a new peice of conduit.
