I am absolutely not saying that they are not safe. What I am saying is that you can not neccesarily buy them, pop them in and assume everything will be ok. There are other steps to take to make sure they seat is safe. Incidetally I use the Maxi Cosi Rodi SPS for my 6 year old.apapa wrote:I think we definitely need an updated fact sheet. The current one suggests the two best seats are the Maxi Cosi Priori or the Britax Eclipse Si. However, Simon and Mobile Cat are saying that they are not safe.
Simon which Mama and Papa Model did you opt for?
Thanks

Re: Child car seats and Bongos
Hi Simon.
Regarding sleeping babes:
We use an inflatable double mattress laid onto the full set of folding seats to level and give us a comfy night. We slide it as far forward as possible, which leaves a 15" slot at the rear (where the tops of the rear seat-backs lie) across the full width of the Bongo
Our little Imogen has been quite happy
to sleep across the back on a thin quilt and in a childrens sleeping bag. In colder weather, we add a blanket around her. The mattress prevents too much movement, and with our heads at the rear, we are right there to monitor & soothe her.
She has been very happy here over the last year+ from 9 months to almost 2 years.
Hope this helps.
Paul.

We've just bought the M&P Protec seat. It's essentially the same as the one that has been linked to, just slightly cheaper. As I've said, the Maxi Priori looks to have the same belt routing as the ProTec. We put the Eclipse in to try and it was buckle-crunch-tastic I'm afraid. The only downside to the ProTec is it cost us £150! Not so much a credit-crunch as credit-kick in the goolies!
Re: Child car seats and Bongos
Hello
I am new to the forum and about to purchase my first Bongo.
One question regarding Baby car seats. Unless I missed it nobody mentioned fitting car seats in a fully converted van. Does anybody know how well a car seat fits on a rock n rolla bed/seat? And how safe is the fitting on here? Would it be better fitted on the front seat?
Hopefully fitting in the back is a good option.
Many Thanks for your help.
Leigh
