soft closure again?

hi there posted a while ago aboot this being inop? eventually got it to work (well somtimes),i have been told in the past that the door can close itself from aboot 1/2 way is this so and how do u do it?

Ours has only closes after you hear the first click which is when it's nearly shut anyway. It sort of pulls the trailing edge of the door in.

I'll show you on Sunday. :lol:

1/2 way open?? no................when you shut the sliding door, if you leave it about a cm open you will here the motor kick in and pull it in and shut.

its the contacts in the door pillar, when the door touches them thats when it shuts.

if you take off the door pillar card in between the passenger door and the sliding door, you can acess the wires for the contacts (if i remember correctly #-o ), you may have a loose wire, if not it time to strip the sliding door to have a look :roll:

cheers i thought as much had the door striped already and could'nt see tha kind of mechanism.
