connecting a Radio/DVD whats best battery
Whats the best idea when fitting a dvd player, connect to leisure battery so as of you watch when not running the car you dont flatten the main battery, or should it be onto the main battery?

Re: connecting a Radio/DVD whats best battery
You might be able to give me some advice, i've fitted a dvd player in the front, (off the leisure battery), but thought that the sub, (connected to main battery,) would use lots of power. So i've fitted a switch to turn off the sub when parked up. Now your saying it will run it fine.
Am i right, or are you
Do i leave the sub on and risk it not starting in the morning

Re: connecting a Radio/DVD whats best battery
Right the reason for starting this thread (now I have more time), last Thursday I got an Alarm/Immobiliser & 7inch double din dvd/tv/satnav/radio & freeview box installed, drove home, on saturday I went out and while I was out chatting the wife watched 45min dvd, then we drove maybe 10 mile, parked up for 6 hours then drove 1 mile then parked up saturday night about 23.30, the car was then not started till monday afternoon about 14.00, and thats when we found out we had a flat battery, a link to my daughters car and it started first time off the jump leads, anyone know if all that needs done is that dvd & freeview needs connected to leisure?????
Thanks for help so far but now you have full info does it change anything?
Oh and just an after thought its getting new alloys & tyres 2morrow as well. cant wait

i have no problem with battery trouble my amp and sub are off bongo main battery
when you switch the stereo off if wired through a remote wire ( which it should be ) the amp will auto switch off when stereo switched off
