It's not so much a push your head into the headrest type surge, it's very progressive... The turbo seems to spool up in earnest at around 1900RPM i guess?

After various checks air filter turbo inspection etc egr check now am not getting this kick and vehicle seems to run ok .Does anyone think the original situation ie boost at 2700rpm now appear to have been the incorrect situation ie engine is now running normally i am getting very confused.

As BDC says, around 1900 - 2000rpm is about the normal point you'll hear it, not much of a "boost", sounds like something was maybe amiss & you've firkled it back to normal?
