Do I Have To ? (cam belt)

Post by Mazman » Thu Mar 19, 2009 7:52 pm

Hello .
Is there a reason y i have to remove the glow plugs to do the cam belt.
I know it helps with turning it over but i don't mind putting a bit of effort into turning the crank.
I have it striped down as far as the plug and am gonna finish it in the morning.
cheers Jack

It just makes it easier, but I don't think it's essential. Personally, if you've got the engine cover off, I'd take them out, as it's a useful opportunity to check them :D

That was quick.
It starts like a dream so not bothered about looking at them.
and i have a socket, so if it's purely to make it easy to turn over i don't think i will bother.
