Heat indicators and useful Bits

Post by apole » Tue Mar 10, 2009 11:08 am

Hi guys,

Whilst looking for something else I stumbled on these:

They are stick on heat indicators, wonder if they would be any use on the Bongo? Not as accurate or visible from the drivers seat so no competitor to the mason/TM2 alarms out there (much better for that) but for the price maybe useful for somebody.

Also they do a coolant additive that improves heat transfer. I've heard of these before on high performance cars, wonder if this is any use:

Finally, and I will stop now, they do what looks to be a good engine oil collector, 15 litres:

There are some handy looking tools in those links apole...The coolant enhancer is similar to a product myself and dbo & di &jamie were discussing recently.

I usually keep the previous empty tub of oil for oil changes, simply pour the contents into the tank at the recycling centre, then bin the dirty tub. If i had a dedicated "old oil catcher" i'd have to clean it after use. (ya know me and cleaning)
