Glowplug dash light

First start up of day, glowplug dash light re-lights when I turn ignition key (have waited for it to go out first!). Doesn't happen if I re-start engine later in day. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this (is this normal?!) or should I be thinking about getting new plugs?
