if they do mines not worked since i bought it and before i go taking the
door panel off to investigate wanted to know if i had it

I hadn't noticed that! Well spotted! It looks like the tyre is the wrong size too on that "odd" wheel... It won't be an issue with that vehicle, most of mike's bongo's get a brand new set of alloys and tyres upon arrival to the uk.

I'd be very surprised if the fuse would be fitted if you didn't have CL fitted....

For example, my bongo doesn't have ABS, or airbags, the slots in the fusebox for the relays are devoid of the relative fuses/relays for the aforementioned options.

hmmm - the 'options' list doesn't mention blinds, which we know are electric on some and manual on others, so you'd think they would be in that list. Curiouser and curiouser

Sorry I don't know. I've asked them to update the list with more of the possible options included on the newer models also.

Thanks doone, i suspect not. The reason i ask is to try to get to the bottom of newbies CL issues, though judging by his avatar, his bongo certainly doesn't look like a poverty spec version!

It looks the business! One of the 2 I've seen without central locking, was sold by Allan. He converted it to a camper and as the central locking 'wasn't working' he took the panel off to fix it. That's when he found out there was no central locking. It was sold locally and the customer comes in to get it serviced.

Hi,
have you tried locking the doors with the drivers (inside of vehicle)push mech.
This should lock all doors,if it does work it might be your outside lock that is faulty.Only a thought.

Ah! Well that clears that up! Lovely vehicle... I reckon an aftermarket central locking kit is on the cards then newbie? I believe they are much better than the noisy old things i used to fit into escorts!

Hi again I have now got my owners handbook but it does not mention the best way to take the door panel off, I also looked behind the glove box for the 6 way connector mentioned in an earlier diagnosis and I have found one but there is nothing plugged into it and nothing lying around unplugged, have also checked all the fuses in the cab and under the bonnet all OK, so it looks like the only definate way is to look behind the door panel, is there no way of checking from source the upgrades fitted from chassis number from anyone, Colin newbie

HI again all, I have taken both front door panels off and taken a photo of the drivers door there are three cables ( red brown & greenstriped )going to a spot behind the the metal so I can`t see for definate but it feels like somthing at the bottom of the door release rod ,the passenger side door has got a red wire and a green wire going to the same location. when I took the drivers door panel off the plastic sheet was missing and I now know where the blobs of black mastic came from on the window, so it looks as though some one has allready been looking for something. As stated previously I am the first registered owner in the UK and the seller tells me that he had not taken the door panel off. Colin newbie

I can tell you one thing Newbie.. That's the wire for your CL running right across your inner door!
(The white connector block is on the left!)
If you just put your multimeter probe into the top where the wires go in to the pins you should get a reading of one or the other, depending on locked or unlocked..?
