Not if you use the same rated bulbs as before. You will be using better bulbs not more powerful bulbs. Check out these two old threads on the subject.

All this talk of bing crosby alloys, body kips, and noisy wireless' is making me shudder...If mazda wanted bongo's to look cool, they would have done it themselves... Keep her standard, like wot i have done.
