Scarlet bung in about 20 litres of cooking oil and fill up with diesel, give her a good run before the mot and the emissions will be guaranteed to be lower, if you can go to makro the oil still works out at just over 80 a litre, or tesco have a ten litre drum on offer at the mo.

That is exactly what I did to get my bongo through its Mot last month. 12 bottles of vegetable oil (that was exactly the same price as diesel at the time), topped up with diesel then bombed my bongo down the M6 to Wheelquick in Wigan who gave it a service then put it through the Mot for me. Result was not only a pass but emmission levels readings were lower than last years Mot.
