Engine transfer

Can anyone help ??? is a 4 wheel drive engine the same engine as the 2 wheel drive engine i.e. can they be swopped?

I'm no expert, but I'm not aware of any differences at all.

I think Franco's right, no difference that I'm aware of.

Only difference should be from the transfer box onwards

Engines should be identical, but gearboxes may or may not be.
