Not sure if you have the right 10mm bolt. The one you want will move the a/c belt idler pulley. You will first have to slacken off the idler pulley centre bolt.

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Re: air con pump/belt removal...
all done with no probs, well i say no probs i didnt get to see the fact sheet cos i couldnt get into the members area so getting the belts on was fiddley.....one thing puzzles me though while i was bleeding it it struck me the mazda method is so easy why have two people come up with their own methods,is the mazda method dodgy ??? please BDC or peg leg or anyone else who knows explain to me......regards to all....neil...
Re: air con pump/belt removal...
No it's not dodgy. It's not over complicated but it's not the simplest either, and needs to be done right, which takes time. People worry about trapped air and some have had problems bleeding them, so I think people will always come up with their own methods, they're an inventive bunch.

Allans Garage retired. Try PGS (Plymouth Garage Services) or Mayflower Auto Services Plymouth

Re: air con pump/belt removal...
Why were you bleeding it ???
Re: air con pump/belt removal...
when the belts went the header tank boiled up a bit, because i was on an ice covered hill (going up) i couldnt just stop when the mason went off or the cars/whatever would never have got going again,i think it just blew a bit out of the header tank(half a pint maybe ) but all seems well now....
