Mysterious warning Light

Post by MountainGoat » Wed Feb 04, 2009 10:51 pm

I have noticed that in my Bongo I have a red warning light in a switch housing (but it is not a switch) located nearest the driver on the top bank of switches to the right of the steering Wheel. The handbook shows the fog light switch (if fitted) at the other side of this bank of switches. Has anyone got an idea of what this red bulb does, I can't remember it ever lighting up and can't find any reference to it in the handbook.

Is it the switch for the rear fog light?

How can that be Kirsty as I have an illuminated rear fog light rocker switch fitted by Jal in the lower bulkhead at knee height. The light that I am refering to looks original but my Bongo came without front fog lights and I am told that it does not even have a loom for the front fog lights.

Ah, my phsycic powers deserted me there - sorry  Don't know then, maybe someone's just stuck the switch in there? Have a firkle up behind & see if there's any wires connected to it. could it have been for a corner guide maybe?

Thanks Kirsty. Looks like I will have to pop out tomorrow and take a picky of the mysterious warning light. Findling with the wires behind it may have to wait a bit longer. It has started snowing again in here in the Borders and I value my finger tips.

Possibly!

You will just have to wait for the picky.

Well here it is folks right next to the coin holder, what do you make of it? As far as I can see it is not a switch but more of a blank with a red bulb in it.
