bolts for plastic seat back trays

Post by Bertie.. » Sat Jan 31, 2009 7:31 pm

Hi guys,

I came across the plastic trays that I was gonna replace the wooden ones in my Bongo with, which reminded me that I didn't have any of the right bolts.

Does anyone know where I might get some, either new or from a scrapped Bongo?

cheers

Bertie..

They are fixed in by plastic "scrivets", Simon Jones managed to get hold of a load, but they were only in black, although I'm sure you should be able to find some in grey.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

One of these http://www.parts4cars.com.au/cart.php?t ... ory_id=447 they seem to hold most of the bongo interior trim & lots of other bits together.

Excellent! I think I have some in the garage left over from a work VW T5 which needed to have a panel removed!

Something to do tomorrow whilst waiting for the snow to fall..

I've replaced some of the screwrivets with threaded inserts.

When I've got the seats reversed I use straps bolted onto the seat backs to hold the rolled up self-inflating mattress in place for easy storage between the front and reversed seats.

Do you need the trays and the scrivets, or just the scrivets.
Whatever you want, I have it, and as long as you dont mind covering the P&P you can have it free.
