Good old SS Sir Walter Scott. That photo was taken when I had a mast and 2 x coal fire boilers.
The mast has since been removed although I am campaigning for it to be re-instated.
And the coal fire boilers have been replaced with oil boilers, although she is still powered by steam.
Too many environmentalists were complaining about the smoke from her funnel.

i was not aware that the current pope was merely a cardboard cutout....you surely killed the original to get a job like that!!!!!
What a gorgeous craft. It reminds me of a trip along the Thames when I was young...my Mother's friend's hubby had a
steam launch he had restored, and we went along for a ride in it....it was powered by a reciprocating twin, with a vertical wooden clad boiler, and he had totally rebuilt the engine and boiler (he was a boiler surveyor)....Everyone knew the boat, and the steam trains hooted as they saw it, and he would whistle back. The other notable occasion was when I had a ride on a steam roller belonging to a friend's boss.
Yes, and I used to go to work on a steam train....,
Steam is the only way to travel....I simply hated going to work on anything less than a real train.
How wonderful it is to see in the news that a totally new engine has been built from scratch, and will be going into service!!
Keep campaigning for a return to coal....a beautiful smell for real propulsion....The world should be in less of a hurry

I had the same problem and found a post somewhere on here that suggested tightening certain screws on the back of the instrument panel- that cured it.

Great to hear from you and I am pleased to hear that you share my passion for steam driven vehicles. I see that your location is Bulgaria and I would imagine that there are a number of steam vehicles still in operation not too far from you.
What used to be East Germany (around the Dresden area) have steam driven paddle steamers, and a few years ago I watched a beautiful steam passenger train heading to Dresden. Austria has at least one (if not many more) steam boats still in operation.
Ron and Helen - If you are ever in Scotland please let me know and we can get together.
I only skipper SS Sir Walter Scott at weekends now during March to October.

Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

I've got the same issue too....mine was converted to MPH prior to purchasing.
Pretty much all winter the Speedo does not work when it's been left for a few days...Hold light flashing too.

Twenty miles or so and we're back to normal!

Sounds like a damp issue / connection issue.....any tips on where to start looking, connectors, screws etc?

your right it does sound like a damp issue, or something along these lines. When it happens to me, I just pull into a layby, switch the engine off, restart and drive away. This seems to cure it
