How to remove the back bumper?

I've been trying to work out how to remove the back bumper without damageing it.

I havn't figured it out yet.

Has anyone got any experience of this little job>

i seem to remember that the towbar factshhet in the members area covers removing the rear bumper.

someone showed this not long back when they fitted a towbar

was it westonwarrior or mikeonb4c???
I NOW HAVE AN ASTRA JUST THE BONGO TO FIND A NEW HOME THEN I AM OUT OF HERE

That's clarified things nicely.

As I'm also removing my towbar (one I get over the hernia I got trying to undo the boltd today)...it will be a doddle.

There's no-one hotter than Kirsty when it comes to sourcing info on here =D>

I've done it but long since forgotten how I dun it. I think the plastic cover strip around the bootlid latch area has to come off to reveal hidden nuts or summat :?

Too late Cath.

The bumper has done 248,000km....you don't expect perfection do you? :lol: :lol:

A quick rubdown with a bit of polishfiller should sort it. [-o< [-o<

I always expect perfection from my men Harry but as far as bumpers go - if its better than mine then great - if it isn't - I shall spray it maroon and then swap them!

I once used a metal post at morrison's to nearly remove my rear bumper, but it was innafective, it merely broke the bumper completely, making it a stupid and pointless post..(a bit like this one!) :lol:
