Swap passenger door lock with drivers side - possible?

Post by Lewy » Sun Jan 25, 2009 1:09 pm

Are the doors barrels interchangeable? The shop sells them seperately so possibly not, but I'd like to swap my very sticky drivers side with the passenger side if possible.

Or any good remedies for sticking locks? I seem to remember someone saying not to use WD40 but a dry graphite based lubricant was better.

If its a really sticky pain, I have two complete spare sets of locks with keys should you need them. . . .

Thank you mr munkey for the offer - I will try the spray grease option first less of a big deal with my newly re-instated central locking.

I think one of the problems is that I am putting a key into the lock regularly that is wet from the sea so might well have helped rust the inside - let alone build up of salt. Just occured to me that, doh.
