Hi All,
Just a bit of advice please...
When you do an oil change, what do you do with the old oil. 6 - 7 litres every 3 - 5 thousand miles seems like a lot of old oil to get rid of!
Is it difficult to transport to dispose of... I don't suppose that it could be added to the home oil central heating tank !!! What legal methods are available to DIY oil changes for disposal?
So what do you do with yours?
Whilst thinking about it how do you buy your oil in the first place? again 6-7 ltrs is a lot, do you buy in quantity? if so how many ltrs at a time and where from?
Kind regards,
Geoff Dowson.

I got a 20 litre drum from my local motor factors, pain in the arse to decant though, too big to pour. save any old oil containers to put the used stuff in & your local tip/recycling centre should have a disposal point you can tip it into - save the containers for next time.
If you use a Pela pump, just take that down & empty it along with a smaller bottle for the residue.

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life.

For the above reasons regarding actually remembering to dispose of old oil properly, is why i tend to now just nip to the garage and get the oil changed for £25 or so, when you take into account that you won't spill the old oil all over your interior, and the hassle and mess involved in changing it yourself...well, i'm sorry, but i leave it to the one's that already have dirty hands
Plus, i got shouted at off my beloved last time for the mess i made
