passed mot today!hurray!!!

Post by hogggman » Wed Jan 21, 2009 8:16 pm

hi all,
well,i didn`t think it would, but the bongo passed its mot today.got some strange advisory notices though:
1.oil leak(never even seen a spot of oil outside where i park it!)
2.noisy engine(tappetty)
3 and 4 rust spots underneath rear
5 handbrake excessive travel, but works perfectly!

he did say though that it would`ve just failed the emissions as it was just outside on one reading, but, because it was registered as a campervan it didn`t need to meet that particular reading.
so,well pleased,i`d been stressing about it all day,and along with having little sleep,i was a bit of a wreck today.
thanks for your support .

It doesnt matter if it is registered as a camper van , dont know where that is coming from , the only thing is if it is pre " K " reg it only needs a visual examination of the exhaust emissions , not a full emissions test .
