Hi all,
Going thru the forum topics there seems to be a general agreement that Bongos should be fitted with a coolant loss alarm and an additional temperature alarm.
Does this apply to only diesel Bongos or to petrol Bongos too?
Kind regards,
Geoff Dowson.

Re: overheating alarm
Purely personal choice, but a sensible idea on any vehicle with (probably) ancient hoses.

Defo V6s too. Ours was saved last week by a low coolant alarm, and at the same time the engine temp monitor/alarm confirmed that it was caught in time to prevent over-heating - see also http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=27735gkdowson wrote:Hi all,

Re: overheating alarm
I think Bongos especially as:
1) They have a lot of plumbing, which may be getting on in years
2) A Bongo is worth more to most owners than a common, easy to replace cheaply, car.
3) A Bongo is more expensive than a simple car to repair if the head cracks etc.
